Basic First Aid & CPR Workshop

The Youth Red Cross unit of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Panjim, organized a workshop on Basic First Aid and CPR on November 19, 2021 for the students of Std XI and XII. Ms Sneha Pai introduced and welcomed the Chief Guest Mr. Vithoba Narayan Mhalkar, Assistant professor at the Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour.


During the course of this workshop, the students learned about the basics of first aid and its importance, the different situations in which First Aid should be performed, the different types of injuries, their symptoms and the procedure of CPR till necessary help was available. The students were also called upon to demonstrate various procedures to be performed in cases of suffocation and fainting. The session was very interactive and the students participated with enthusiasm.


At the end Mr. Mhalkar stressed on the importance of Mental Health Aid in the life of every individual. Mast. Ebenezer Rajamanickam, proposed the Vote of thanks. The program was successfully organized by the YRC coordinator Ms. Irene D'Mello & YRC unit of the School.
