The 73rd Republic Day of India 2022, was celebrated at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Panjim. The programme commenced with the Guard of Honour, escorting the Chief guest Mr. Ajay R. Gaude, Deputy Revenue Collector of North Goa to unfurl the National flag.
This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Rev. Fr. Clive Telles, Principal, extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest and others present. Master Aiman Shaikh, General Secretary (Boys), introduced the Chief Guest, Mr. Ajay R. Gaude. Miss Nikaiah Fonseca Da Silva, General Secretary (Girls), spoke on the importance of 'The Constitution of India' and the rights and duties of the citizens. A patriotic song 'Teri Mitti' was sung by students of Std. XII.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Ajay R. Gaude, addressed the gathering and stressed on the importance of the Preamble of the constitution and the values it enshrines. He also highlighted the important values required to be respectable citizens of the country. Miss Kamryn Menezes, Cultural Secretary, proposed the Vote of thanks and was the compere for the day.
