‘World AIDS day’ celebrated at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Panjim.
Don Bosco Higher Secondary School organized a series of events for the students to celebrate World AIDS Day.
Interclass collage making competition was organized on November 26, 2022 on the Topic “Fight AIDS not the people suffering with AIDS’’. Winners of the competition were XI COMMERCE A- First place, XI ARTS- Second place and XI SCIENCE B -Third place.
On World AIDS Day, YRC students along with the convener of Red Ribbon Club attended the state world AIDS day programme held at Institute of Menezes Braganza hall from 9.30 to 12 noon. To commemorate the world AIDS day in the institution, RRC unit organized a short programme. Ms Mitchel Mascarenhas and Mast. Shean Dias
welcomed the students and the Resource person Dr. Lorraine D’sa, Assistant Professor and Consultant in the Pediatric department, GMC, Bambolim. A short meaningful skit delivering the message“Fight AIDS not the people with AIDS†was staged. Dr. Lorraine D’sa delivered a lecture on HIV/AIDS and related issues. She also highlighted the objectives of the RRC in a brief power-point presentation.
The winners of the Collage competition were also declared on this day and awarded certificates and gifts. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Ms Sarah Pinto of XI Science A. Programme was Co-ordinated by Ms Maria Irene D'mello.
