QUICK BITE -

The Faculty of Arts at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Panjim, organized a week-long Career Formation Week from 16th August 2024 to 21st August 2024. The event was an insightful and comprehensive experience, aimed at guiding students towards making well-informed career choices.
The programme began with a workshop titled "Discover Your Superpowers" focused on self-discovery, encouraging students to recognize and harness their unique strengths. Through this workshop, students were motivated to explore the superpowers within themselves and understand how to apply these strengths to their future careers.

On 20th August 2024, the second workshop, "Mastering Transferable Skills", took place. This session further equipped students with essential skills that are valuable across various career paths. Both workshops led by Ms. Rochelle Cordeiro, a career counsellor were instrumental in enhancing students' self-efficacy and guiding them towards making informed decisions about their future.
Throughout the week, subject teachers provided insights into various careers within the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences, broadening students' understanding of the opportunities available to them. Additionally, a session on soft skills, conducted by the English teacher, Mrs. Bianca Fernandes, offered students practical tools for personal and professional growth.

The theme for the week, "Dream, Explore, and Achieve Your Passion" resonated deeply with the students. It inspired them to dream big, explore their competencies and opportunities, and take bold, consistent steps towards realizing their ambitions.
The Valedictory Function on 21st August 2024 was graced by the Chief Guest, Fr. Tony D'Souza. The highlight of the event was a skit titled "Nurture Your Superpowers", which effectively emphasized the importance of recognizing and cultivating one's strengths. The students also showcased their talents through song and dance performances, which creatively illustrated the week's theme. Additionally, a presentation on career opportunities in Humanities and Social Sciences introduced students to emerging career options.
In conclusion, Career Formation Week was a transformative journey that empowered students to make informed career choices and strive for excellence in their chosen paths. The event not only provided valuable insights but also inspired students to pursue their passions with confidence and determination.
