“Leadership is not a position, it's an action.” Keeping this in mind
Don Bosco HSS, Panjim organized a Leadership Training Workshop for its newly elected student council on July 1, 2023. The program aimed to equip the 44 youthful leaders, including the General Secretary (Boy), General Secretary (Girl), Sports Secretary, Cultural Secretary, Class Representatives, and their assistants, with the necessary skills and qualities to effectively fulfill their roles. The event was coordinated by the Teachers in-charge.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from Ms. Archana Shetye, Leadership training Incharge, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp. Ms. Selza Lopes, Student Council in-charge, led the group in prayer and conducted an activity called 'Building Together.' This activity encouraged the students to work collaboratively and emphasized the importance of teamwork in leadership. Additionally, it facilitated a reflective session where the students pondered on the essential qualities required for good leadership.

Ms. Reshma Mapari, Discipline In-charge, created a contemplative environment for the leaders to reflect on their roles as responsible leaders. Ms. Archana Shetye further provided clarity by explaining the specific areas of responsibility each leader held within the institution for various occasions and events. Ms. Reshma Mapari supported this discussion by outlining the specific, special, and general responsibilities of each leader, ensuring a clear understanding of their roles and duties.

Rev. Fr. Principal Tamatur Cardozo shared words of wisdom and guidance with the student leaders. He emphasized the importance of making a difference in the institution and encouraged them to consider future leadership roles in politics and legislation.

The programme concluded with the General Secretary Boy delivering a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those involved in organizing the programme. The event ended with a concluding prayer.
