The Eco Club of the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Panjim organized a workshop on “The Natural Heritage of Goaâ€. The programme was held on February 11, 2023.
The key speaker for the event was Mr. Rajendra P. Kerkar, a versatile environmentalist from Goa.
A short presentation on Vermicomposting, was displayed, by a student, Miss Chelsea Vaz, following which Mr. Rajendra P. Kerkar highlighted the unsung Natural Heritages of Goa. From the Myristica Swamp in the Netravali forest to the Jain temples in the Kundaim village, Mr. Rajendra P. Kerkar educated the students on the invisible wonders in the state of Goa and the need to preserve our natural heritage.
The programme was anchored by Mast. Macon Albuquerque and Ms. Michelle Mascarenhas of the Eco club. It was concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Mast. Lyndon Varghese. The event was coordinated by Ms. Jenifer Godinho.
