Leadership Training Programme held at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Panjim
Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Panjim held a leadership programme on July 20, 2022 for all the elected leaders. Fr. Jason Coelho, sdb was the resource person. He set up interesting activities and games for the leaders to participate in. The intention was to help the leaders learn and grow through experience.
The first activity called ‘The Fruit Basket’ was an icebreaker. The second activity was essentially a puzzle game, a square where the leaders had to put together the pieces which were of different shapes and sizes. Without any one of these unique shapes the puzzle would remain incomplete. Through this game, Father explained how each shape could represent a person’s personality- the introverts, the extroverts, the rigid and the creative. Every single piece mattered and had a part to play in completing society as a whole. The ‘Straw game’ highlighted the importance of teamwork. The ‘Pyramid Game’ in which the leaders had to construct a pyramid with a stack of cards demonstrated the importance of a strong base.
The programme was greatly appreciated by all the leaders. Every leader participated with enthusiasm and a desire to assimilate the various aspects of leadership demonstrated by Fr. Jason through the games.
