‘Inter class Debate Competition’ held at Don Bosco Higher Secondary school, Panjim
Don Bosco Higher Secondary school, Panjim conducted the ‘Inter class Debate Competition’ on July 23, 2022. The preliminary round consisted of 10 teams who battled out against each other, emerging the top 4 scorers to progress to the semi-finals after which the top 2 scorers, 12 commerce B and 11 commerce B qualified to the finals.
The topic for the debate was ‘Higher education is a necessary prerequisite of an individual’s success in the future’. The proposing team was 12 commerce B while 11 commerce B opposed the topic. The Chief Guests for the event were, Dr. Shruti V.Kamat Dalal and Ms. Ameya A. Nayak, professors at the VM Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar.
The teams worked hard and gave their best to support their stance on the topic. The audience too geared up as they cheered and applauded their teams. After debating for an hour, the rebuttal round decided the champions of the debate.
12 commerce B emerged winners of the Interclass Debate 2022. The best speaker prize was awarded to Mast. Adil Shaikh.
