The Republic Day Program Held At Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Panjim

The Republic Day program held on January 26, 2024, at Don Bosco Panjim Campus, was a vibrant and impactful event. Commencing at 8:00 AM, the program aimed to celebrate the spirit of unity, diversity, and patriotism, aligning with the theme "Be Different and Make a Difference."
Mr. Kabir Shirgaonkar, chief officer from Sanquelim Municipal Council, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The dignitaries included the Rector and Principal of the Don Bosco school Fr. Avin Carvalho, principal of the Don Bosco higher secondary section Fr. Tamatur Cardozo ,Principal of the Don Bosco college Dr Cedric Silveira and manager of Don Bosco college Fr. Joaquim Lobo collectively contributed to the success of the celebration.
The chosen theme served as the guiding principle for the entire program, encouraging participants and attendees to embrace individuality and contribute positively to society. The theme resonated throughout the skit, group song, and dance performances. The objective of the skit, aligned with the theme "Be Different and Make a Difference," was to convey a powerful and thought-provoking message about the significance of successfully cracking the UPSC exam, emphasizing its role in promoting effective governance, encouraging wise voting practices, and fostering unity.
Mr. Kabir Shirgaonkar in his address, emphasized the foundational principles of the Indian Constitution, including the right to freedom, right to expression, and right to equality. He expressed major concern about the issue of garbage and underscored its importance." The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) plays a pivotal role in shaping our nation and helps to uphold civic responsibilities and contribute to the essential task of nation-building." he added.
The event not only honored the significance of Republic Day but also encouraged the participants to embody the spirit of being different and making a difference in their respective spheres.Tr Aditi Naik, Tr. Jennifer Godinho and Tr. Dhanashree Desai coordinated the event.
